1) Establishes Web & FTP systems by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of software; defining system and operational policies and procedures. 
2) Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; health check; troubleshooting software, and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor. 
3) Secures systems by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation. 
4) Upgrades systems by conferring with vendors and services; testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements

  Monitors and tunes Linux systems to achieve optimum performance. 
        Compiles, installs and upgrades software packages and operating system 
components 
        Implements and supports SAN, NAS and directattached storage systems 
        Develops, improves, documents and promotes standard operating procedures. 
        Build, maintain and support infrastructure services (email, DNS, DHCP, web 
services, file and printer sharing, NFS, CIFS, etc) 
        Interact directly with Artists and other Studio staff to troubleshoot problems and 
issues. 
        Participate in offhours oncall rotation, and occasional weekend PM work. 
 
REQUIREMENTS 
        Linux kernel, networking and OS performance tuning (RedHat) 
        Thorough understanding of IP networking concepts 
        Experience with security infrastructure (firewalls, secure VPN remote access, Linux 
iptables, ACLs, etc.) 
        Solid scripting skills in Shell, PHP, Perl or Python. 
        Excellent communication and documentation skills 
        Ability to mentor technical support staff.
